“Here at the Dowans, we have been pairing food successfully with whisky since our arrival in 2012 believing that the unique combination is one of mastery; equal to that of food and wine, an already established concept. Continuing this celebration, we are delighted to be working with two stalwarts of the industry: Ann Miller and Martine Nouet who, combining their decades’ worth of experience in the industry, have both, in their own way, been pioneers of the pairing of whisky and food.”
The four course dinner, on Saturday 5th November, 18.30 – 22.30, lovingly curated by Martine and the Dowans kitchen team will be paired with four outstanding drams (and maybe a surprise here or there!) which both Martine and I will delight in detailing, discussing and sharing with guests. Over an aperitif, and as each course is served, I will present the drams and Martine will share the secrets of her inspiration for each dish. In the convivial company of fellow festivalgoers, you will discover how to match a dish to a dram to bring out the best of both.
Drawing on many years’ experience in the whisky industry, including creating sell out dinners together during previous Festivals at several distilleries, Martine and I will host a fascinating exploration which promises to be a not to be missed event.
Enjoy lunches on Friday 4th and Sunday 6th November, 12.15 – 14.30 with Martine and me to discover more about the art of matching food and whisky during a delicious 3 course lunch paired to great Speyside drams.
